On July, 1647 Masaniello was assassinated within a conspiracy and his head was carried in triumph in the streets of Naples. Masaniello was the son of Lorenzo d’Amalfi and Antonia Gargano of Atrani, when he was a child he played from the streets of Casa Gargano close to the church of Saint Maria Of Bando which belonged to his maternal grandparents
